There are some key steps that will help you begin your journey of church planting.
TALK – Share your burden for church planting with key people who can confirm, help, and empower you. (Your Spouse, Pastor, & Presbyter)
ASSESS – OCMN will give you a link for an online assessment to evaluate core competencies in key areas.
APPLY – Once you have had key conversations and been assessed then you can begin the application process with OCMN which qualifies you for special funding grants
Develop
This stage is where a strategy is planned and implemented to develop the planter, the team, and the church.
TRAIN – The planter, spouse, and parent church pastor will attend the CMN Launch Training which will prepare and resource them on the key components of church planting
RECRUIT – A core team will be assembled and engaged in working the ministry plan and preparing for the church launch
FUNDS – Funding and support for the new church will be raised through grants, offerings, and pledges.
Launch
In preparation for the official opening of the church there some practical, relational, and legal steps that will need to take place.
DEVELOPING SYSTEMS & KEY TEAMS - This involves building key ministry teams (ie. worship, kids, tech, care etc…) as well as creating a discipleship process.
PREVIEW / OUTREACH SERVICES – Connecting with the community through outreach, interest meetings, and preview services is essential.
INCORPORATION– OCMN will assist you with incorporating with the State of Ohio as well as chartering with the Assemblies of God.
Grow
The journey of church planting is a continual process of evolving and progressing. It is important that as the church grows so does the Pastor. OCMN helps invest in the pastor’s development in the following ways:
COACHING – We match you up with a Coach who will help to bring out the God-sized potential and vision that is in you.
NETWORKING– Our specialized cohorts are designed to link you up with other church planters who are in similar contexts for the purpose of resourcing, training, inspiration, and fellowship.
